The ExpoGeorgia convention centre dates back to 1958 during the Soviet era. The total space of the fairground is 140,000 sqm with 11 halls, and total indoor exhibition space of 10,000 sqm, with the individual hall capacity ranging from 300 sqm to 1,700 sqm. There is an open exhibition area of more than 10,000 sqm. Hall 11 is the main exhibition venue with an area of nearly 1,700 sqm. Hall 3, on the other hand, is suitable for conferences, seminars and shows. The capacity of this convention and exhibition venue is quite small by today’s international standard, but ExpoGeorgia is nevertheless an ideal venue for organising regional and local meetings, conferences, exhibitions, training seminars and special events in Tbilisi. What is unique about this venue is that it is located in a park environment with lush greenery and lake where outdoor concerts and events can be held. Even within the rather industrial-like buildings, the presence of a greenhouse with tropical plants help calm the minds of busy organisers and event participants. The greenhouse, which connects Hall 4, 5 and 6 can also be used as reception and tea break area.
ExpoGeorgia has been assigned a very important role – guiding foreign capital inflow in Georgia and opening international markets for new Georgian businesses. Hence, continued improvements to this venue can be expected. For more information, please click here. Comments are closed.
