Dubai is famous for its skyscrapers, unique architecture and man-made islands. What better way to enjoy this than from the air. One of the coolest way to experience this is to board a sea-plane. Passengers can appreciate the golf resorts and skyline at eye-level as the plane glides through the glittering water, then slowly ascend to admire Dubai’s magnificent architectures and developments from a bird’s-eye view. Seawings provides this experience from the clubhouse of the Park Hyatt Dubai compound, but non-residents of the hotel, as well as MICE groups, can book this flight. The plane takes seven passengers at a time for a 20-minute flight, while pre-flight safety briefing and boarding takes another 20 minutes. Larger MICE groups may need to organise into smaller groups and take turns to go on the flight. Some reception may be organised in conjunction so that guests may be entertained while they wait.
On the day of this review, despite some haze in the air, the view from the sky was indeed spectacular as passengers can see the iconic Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, the Palm islands, as well as the vast desert beyond the city. It would have been better if there were accompanying commentary to explain the points of interests. Nevertheless, it is a highly recommended experience for MICE groups and general tourists alike. MICE organisers may want to check with their DMCs or with Seawings on the best time of the year to organise this flight, as weather conditions and air quality could affect the view and the experience.
