ICONSIAM is a landmark development on the Chao Phraya riverside opposite the Shangri-la Hotel, Bangkok. A luxury mega mall reminiscent of Dubai City Mall...it even comes with a multimedia river water show as what you would find in Dubai. A key distinctive feature within ICONSIAM is SookSiam, an area dedicated to present the cultures of the five main regions in Thailand in five large pavilions. Visitors can see replicas of each region’s architectural style, as well as try delicacies and buy handicrafts from each culture all under one roof. It is an area so expansive that meeting planners can organise treasure hunt or other team-building exercises for corporate groups. On the seventh floor of ICONSIAM, MICEreview caught a glimpse of the TrueIcon Hall in its construction phase. When completed, it will be the first and only ultra-hybrid venue in Thailand that features automatic retractable seating with state-of-the-art light and sound system and advanced technology. It will have a main hall with full seating capacity of 3,000 persons, with the flexibility to be divided into two separate halls with soundproof partitions, and 14 breakout rooms with capacity of 20-200 persons in each room. The pre-function area, Suralai Hall, is also a large open space where exhibition can be held. TrueIcon Hall is truly a multi-purpose venue for convention, exhibition, concert performance and meeting. It is scheduled to be open by the end of 2019. For more information, please click here.
