Bangkok has experienced rapid growth over the past decades with new skyscrapers springing up ever so frequently. The thought of Bangkok is that of congestion, pollution and high-rise buildings. You would never have thought it is possible to find a moment of peace and tranquility in the heart of this city, but this is exactly what you will get at The Sukhothai. The Sukhothai is a 28-year-old luxury Thai hotel in Bangkok. All the buildings in the hotel are of the same age but the design stood the test of time and regular maintenance keeps it in good shape. The hotel has abundant lush green garden space to keep its residents away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has resisted temptations to develop horizontally or vertically, hence maintaining its unique, low-rise and peaceful nature. One of the buildings has recently been renovated, and it now houses the hotel’s club rooms and facilities.
The Sukhothai is an ideal place for dining and wining as it is home to well known restaurants, such as Celadon and La Scalia, helmed by local and international celebrity chefs. For conference and meeting, the Sukhothai’s Ballroom is ideal for up to 240 delegates in theatre-style seating arrangement, or sit-down gala dinner for up to 200 guests. This is supported by four separate meeting rooms with a capacity of 20 delegates each. A unique event venue in the hotel is the Garden Villa, which has 7,000 square metres of lush green space. This allows meeting planners to make creative use of the space for outdoor meeting, product launch or garden party, etc. For more information, please click here.
