Singapore Changi Airport handled 32.2 million passenger movements in 2022, reaching almost half of the traffic in 2019, before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Aircraft movements, which include landings and takeoffs, totalled 219,000, 57.2% of 2019 levels. Airfreight throughput registered 1.85 million tonnes for 2022, a year-on-year decline of 4.8%.

AACB’s members have supported a special resolution to establish a new well-resourced peak body, representative of the entire business events community across Australia, together with the Australian Convention Centres Group (ACCG) and the Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia (EEAA). In a sign that the world is returning to Thailand for MICE, Thai exhibitors at the first in-person edition of IT&CMA in two years clinched 94 leads with an estimated 10,362 potential overseas attendees. Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) estimated that the leads will bring into Thailand 683 million baht in revenue.
The 30th IT&CM Asia and 25th CTW Asia-Pacific 2022 were held successfully in Bangkok, Thailand in September 2022. This is the events’ first-ever hybrid show with a buzzing show floor of activities and entertainment by major pavilions. There was also increased demand for targeted networking sessions, and added knowledge sessions.

The hybrid award ceremony was held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore on 23 August 2022.
Singapore's Changi Airport Group (CAG) will reopen the southern wing of Terminal 2 (T2) for departure operations on 11 Oct 2022, following the resumption of arrival operations at the terminal in May this year.
The commencement of departure operations at T2 will add to Changi’s capacity and spread out passenger operations more evenly across the airport’s terminals as travel demand continues to grow in the lead-up to the year-end travel peak.
